| 18 Gold: |
Jason Mansfield (Head Coach)
- Jason will be starting his 14th year of coaching
club volleyball, where his teams have finished 5th
or better 9 times at the Junior Olympics. He led his
team to Bronze medal finishes in the 18 Open
Division last season in Miami, and also in 2008. His
2003 team won a Silver Medal in the 18 Open
Division, and in 1997 won a Gold medal in 18 Club.
Jason has coached 19 Junior Olympic All-Tournament
selections. He is in his 8th season as an Assistant
Coach at Stanford University, where he has helped
lead the team to 5 Final Fours (2002, 2004, 2006,
2007, 2008) and a National Championship (2004).
Jason has coached 21 AVCA All-Americans and 3 AVCA
National Players-of-the-Year.
Gwen Hubbard (Assistant Coach)
- Gwen is in her fifth year as an assistant with
the Vision 18 Gold team. She played her junior career at Los Altos High
School and for Coach Mansfield on the Vision 18 Gold
team in 2000. She played at the collegiate level at
Cal Poly and graduated in 2004. She is an assistant
coach for Castilleja High School, where she helped
lead them to
the Division V State Championship in 2008 and the
finals in 2005.
Ryan Cooling (Assistant Coach)
- Ryan is his third season as an assistant for the
Vision 18 Gold team. Prior to this, he was an
assistant for the Vision 17 Gold team
in 2007. He has coached a variety of levels,
including the Vision 16
Gold team which he led to a Silver Medal in the 16 Club Division
at the JO's in 2000. Ryan is currently the Head
Coach and Athletic Director at Presentation High
School. He was named a CCS Honor Coach-of-the-Year
in 2009. His coaching resume is lengthy and includes
collegiate experience at the University of
Texas-Arlington, and junior experience at Menlo
(Head Coach), Aptos (Head Coach), and Archbishop Mitty (Assistant Coach). |

| 18 Blue: |
Ron
Whitmill (Head Coach)
- Ron returns to Vision after coaching the 18 Blue
team the past two seasons. His 2009 team earned an
Open bid to the JO's, the first time in the 28-team
format that a club has sent two teams to the 18 Open
Division. He has a lengthy coaching and
playing resume. He spent 7 years with City
Beach as a Head Coach and is currently the Head
Coach for the San Jose State Men's program. As a
player, Ron participated in the 1989 JO's and has
been part of a team which finished first in the NCVA
AA seven times. He continues to play in professional
outdoor doubles tournaments which he has done since
1992.
Kelly Crow (Assistant Coach)
- Kelly returns after assisting with the 16 Gold
team last season. She and co-assistant Christa be
sharing duties with both the 18 Blue and 16 Gold.
She helped the 2009 16 Gold team become the 2009
Regional Champion and earn a fifth place finish at
the Junior Olympics in Miami. She is a former Vision player, and earned a fifth place
finish at the Junior Nationals in 2003 with the
Vision 18 Gold team, and a Silver Medal with
the Vision 18 Gold team in 2004. She was the 2004
Sports Focus North Coast Section Player-of-the-Year,
and played at the collegiate level for San Jose
State University as an outside hitter.
This will be her fifth year of coaching club
volleyball.
Christa
Conom (Assistant Coach)
- Christa returns to Vision after competing as a
junior player. She was the starting setter for
Vision's 18 Gold team in 2003, and earned a fifth
place finish at the Junior Olympics. She also played
as a junior player at Saint Francis High School,
where her teams won three CIF State Championships.
She played at the collegiate level at UC Irvine. She
is in her first year at Foothill Community College
as an Assistant Coach, and is also coaching on the
boys side with Bay-To-Bay's 14 Blue team. She and
co-assistant Kelly will be sharing duties with both
the 18 Blue and 16 Gold. |

| 17 Gold: |
Will Yuen (Head Coach)
- Will returns to Vision after leading the 2009
Vision 17 Gold to a Bronze Medal at the Junior
Olympics in Miami. He will be in his third
consecutive season coaching the 17 Gold team. Prior
to coaching at the 17's level, he coached the Vision 16 Gold team,
and has coached several age levels at Vision. He has been involved locally in junior volleyball for
fourteen seasons. Will is currently in his fifth season
as an Assistant Coach at Santa Clara
University. He began his
career as a volunteer and is now in his third
season as a full-time assistant. He helped lead
Santa Clara to the NCAA Final Four in 2005.Emily Burke (Assistant Coach)
- Emily returns for her second season as an
Assistant with the 17 Gold team. She helped lead the
2009 team to a Bronze Medal at the Junior Olympics
in Miami. She is in her first season as a setter at
Santa Clara University. She was the setter for the
Vision 18 Gold team in 2007. She helped lead that
team to a fifth place finish at the Junior
Nationals. Her club career included six seasons with
Vision, and her high school career included two trips
to the CA State Championship with Archbishop Mitty. |

Blue: |
Tait Rafat (Head Coach)
- Tait is in his fourth season as the Head Coach for
Vision's 17 Blue team. His 2009 team earned a bid to
the Junior Olympics in Miami. Tait is also in his
fourth season as the Head Coach at San Jose City
College. Prior to San Jose City, Tait served as an Assistant
at Nevada-Reno, and most recently coached 16's for
Sierra Nevada Volleyball Club. His team moved up 50
spots from their original ranking during the league
season. Tait grew up in Alaska before going to
school at UNLV. He has both an undergraduate degree
and masters, is CAP I certified by USA Volleyball,
and is a certified volleyball conditioning
specialist. Tait now resides in the Bay Area with
his wife of eight years and their two children.
Dan Hoefer (Assistant
Coach)
- Dan returns to Vision after leading his 2009
15 Blue team to a 15 Club Championship and Gold
Medal, at the Junior Olympics in Miami. He is currently in his
third season as the
Head Coach at Los Gatos High School. He also has
three years of coaching experience with Bay-to-Bay
Volleyball Club coaching on the boys side. As a
player, Dan was a four-year Division I player at the
University of Pacific. He also spent 2 years with
the US National Team Indoor program. |

| 16 Gold: |
Joe
Ripp (Head Coach)
- Joe returns to the 16's age level after leading
the 2009 16 Gold team to a fifth place finish at the
Junior Olympics. The 2009 team also won the NCVA
Regional Championship. Previously, he coached
the 18 Blue team for two seasons. His 2007 team won a Bronze Medal in the 18 Club
Division of the Junior Nationals in Minneapolis. He
has coached all age levels during the club season
and in 2005 guided the Vision 17 Gold team to the
silver medal in the 17 Open Division of the
Junior Nationals in Salt Lake City. Joe
retired from Los Gatos High School after
coaching there for 14 years. His high school teams
won three CCS championships, three Nor-Cal
championships and one California State Championship.
He is the founder of Vision Volleyball Club.

Danny Chan (Head Coach)
- Danny (Husband of Brooke Chan, Vision 15 Blue) also returns after
leading the 13 Gold team to a Bronze medal finish at
the 2009 Junior Olympics in Miami. In his previous
seasons, he coached with the 13 Gold and the 12 Gold
teams. He currently coaches the Homestead High School Junior
Varsity. He has collegiate experience as the former Head
Coach at West Valley Junior
College. He has also coached at Evergreen
Valley High School and Club Yahoo, where in 2006 he helped Yahoo's 17's team earn a bid to the Junior
Olympics. He earned his Kinesiology degree from San
Jose State with an emphasis in Adapted Physical
Activity.
Kevin Corral (Assistant Coach)

Kevin returns to Vision for his fourth season. Last
season he was an Assistant for Vision's NCVA
Champion 12 Gold team. Prior to his time coaching
the 12's level, he coached the 13 Blue
team the for two seasons. His 2007 team earned a
birth in the Junior Nationals. Most recently Kevin
has been an assistant at Gavilan Community College
and spent one year as an assistant at Club Yahoo. He
has a 9-year history as a player, including a career
at San Jose State with the men's team. |

White: |
Jeff Kim
(Head Coach)
- Jeff joins Vision for his first season with an
extensive resume of coaching experience. Most
recently he has been a Head Coach for highly
regarded Encinitas Wave Volleyball Club in Southern
California. During his time in Southern California,
he also coached at The Bishop's School in La Jolla
as the Junior Varsity Head Coach and Varsity
Assistant. Jeff has also coached on the boys side in
Southern California, and locally in 2002 and 2003
with Saint Francis High School in Mountain View.
Christine Dion (Assistant)
- Christine returns to Vision having competed as a
player in 2004 and 2005 for Vision's 18 Blue team.
She played at the collegiate level at Willamette
University. As a junior player, before competing
with Vision, she earned medals at the 14's and 15's
level at City Beach. She played all four season in
High School at Presentation, San Jose. She began her
coaching career at Ferris High School as Head Coach
of their 'C' team, and also as a Varsity Assistant. |

Monica
Marcuson
(Co-Head Coach)
- Monica is entering her seventh season with Vision
Volleyball Club. All seven of her previous teams
have qualified for the Junior Nationals. In 2007 she
coached the Vision 16 Gold team to a fifth place
finish at the Junior Nationals. She is
currently the Head Coach for Notre Dame Belmont
where in 2006 her team won the CCS Division III
title for the first time in 10 years. Prior to Notre
Dame, Monica established the program at Canada
Community College. Monica played collegiate volleyball
at Notre Dame de Namur (formerly Notre Dame Belmont) for four years.
Dustin Moore (Co-Head Coach)
- Dustin is in his eleventh season as the top assistant
at Santa Clara University. In 2005, he helped the Santa
Clara team earn a bid to the NCAA Final Four. He has
also had several years of coaching experience
locally in both high school, club, and college. He
was the head coach at Menlo College in 1994, and
coached at Woodside Priory where his team won the
CIF Championship. He has coached club with City
Beach, Yahoo and South Bay Boys Volleyball Club. He
lives locally with his wife and three kids. |

Brooke
Chan (Head Coach)
- Brooke (wife of Danny Chan, Vision 16 Blue) is in her
seventh season with Vision
Volleyball Club. Last season her 13 Gold team won a
Bronze Medal at the Junior Olympics in Miami. The
prior season she led the 13 Gold
team to a fifth place finish at the Junior
Olmpics. The two previous seasons her 12 Gold team
earned a spot at the Junior Nationals. She has
both junior college and high school coaching
experience. In 2007, she took over as Head Coach at
West Valley Junior College after working as an
assistant for one season. As a player,
she competed for Vision throughout her junior
career, and was a defensive specialist at San Jose
State.
Stephanie Loller (Assistant
Coach)
- Stephanie returns to Vision for her seventh
season, after taking a break to have a family. She
coached several different age groups during her
previous coaching stint. Her playing career started
at Los Gatos High School and continued at the
University of Pennsylvania. She helped lead her
UPenn teams to two Ivy League titles. She is a
dentist, practicing locally in San Jose. |

| 14 Gold: |
Cobey Shoji (Head Coach)
- Cobey is in her seventh season at Vision, having
previously coached Vision's 12 Gold team. Her 2008
team earned a silver medal at the Junior Nationals.
Prior to coaching at the 12's level for two seasons,
she coached the 15 Blue and 16 Blue teams. She is in
her fifth year as the Director of Volleyball
Operations at Stanford University. She played her
junior career at the prestigious Punahou High School
in Hawaii and played club for the Asics Rainbow
Volleyball Club. She is a 2001 graduate of the
University of Michigan where she competed as a
defensive specialist/setter.
Lexi Bothman (Assistant Coach)
- Lexi returns to Vision for her fourth season after
taking a break to earn her Master's degree as a
Graduate Assistant at Hawaii Pacific University. She
is currently an Assistant Coach for Presentation
High School. As a player, she competed for Vision
Volleyball Club and for Archbishop Mitty. She was a
member of Archbishop Mitty's 2001 State Championship
team. She than played at the collegiate level for
Santa Clara University, where she was part of their
2005 team that reached the NCAA Final Four. |

Chi Chui (Head Coach)
- Chi is in his 13th season as an assistant coach at Archbishop Mitty,
and has coached
club volleyball for 19 seasons. He has coached teams that have achieved the highest
levels in winning state championships and Junior National medals.
In 2007, he helped lead his 14 Gold team to a Bronze
medal at the Junior Olympics. In 2003 he help
Archishop Mitty High School win the Division II
state championship. In 2002, he helped guide the
Vision 14 Gold to a Silver Medal at the Junior
National Championships.
Kristin Hipsher (Assistant Coach)
- Kristen returns to Vision for a second season and
is in her second year as a starting right side hitter/setter at
Foothill Community College, playing for Katy Ripp,
the wife of Vision Club Director Joe Ripp. Her club career included
six seasons with City Beach Volleyball Club. Kristin
was a 4-year Varsity starter and team captain at
Woodside High School. During her senior season she
helped lead her team to their first league
championship and to the CCS quarterfinals. |

Bret Almazan-Cezar (Head Coach)
- Bret is in his tenth season as Head Varsity Coach for Archbishop Mitty High School.
This season he was named the 2010 AVCA National
Coach-of-the-Year. His Monarch teams have won
five state championships
and made nine appearances in the NorCal Championship match. Bret is
also in his tenth season with Vision. At the Junior Nationals in
2007, his team earned a Bronze medal. In 2006, his
Vision 14 Gold team finished fifth and in 2002, his
14 Gold team won the Silver medal. Prior to joining
Vision, in 2000, Bret led Delta Valley to a Gold
Medal Championship in the 18 Open Junior National
Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nicole Payne (Assistant Coach)
- Nicole is a former Vision player, who also
competed at Archbishop Mitty High School, playing
for Head Coach Bret Almazan-Cezar. She played at the
collegiate level at UCSC and was a starter during
her tenure. She has coached both boys and girls
volleyball. She has coached club volleyball for Main
Beach, and High School at Archbishop Mitty, where
she is currently in her third season. She is the
Head Coach for the Freshman, and a Varsity
Assistant.
Jason Okui
(Assistant Coach)
Jason is in his first year as an assistant with
Vision. He is a former assistant at Archbishop Mitty
under Vision 13 Gold Head Coach Bret Almazan-Cezar.
He has previously coached with Club Yahoo! and East
Bay Connection. He was a student assistant at
University of Hawaii and Cal State East Bay. Jason
returns to coaching after taking several seasons off
to have a family. |

Tony Casino (Head Coach)
- Tony returns for his second season as the 13 Blue
Head Coach. He is also in his ninth season as the head coach at
the Mountain View Academy High School. He has eight
years of club coaching experience and has two
daughters that played for Vision Volleyball Club.
Tony earned the honor from the Positive Coaching
Alliance in 2004 as a 'Double Goal' Coach.
Asia Casino (Assistant Coach)
- Asia is currently a setter at San Jose State
University. She is a former Vision player, having
competed with the Bronze-winning 18 Gold team in
2007. She played for current Vision 18 Gold Head
Coach Jason Mansfield. She competed as a junior
player at Saint Francis High School in Mountain View. |

Jessica
Herrera (Head Coach)
- Jessica coached Vision's 14 Blue the past two seasons and
the 13 Blue team in 2006. In each of the past three
seasons, her team has made the Junior Nationals. She is a former collegiate player at Gonzaga
University where she played Libero from 2002-2006.
She is a graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School
where she played for Vision 14 Gold Coach Bret
Almazan-Cezar. She played club for Vision and Yahoo
and her Yahoo team won the Gold medal in 2000. She
coaches locally at Archbishop Mitty High School.
Matt
Hoffman (Assistant Coach)
- Matt is the current Homestead High School Head
Coach. His 2007 and 2008 teams won the CCS title,
with his 2008 team winning the Northern California
Championship, and was the CIF State Runner-up. On
these teams he coached Vision alum Kat Fisher (2009
Vision 18 Gold, University of Oregon). As a player,
Matt was a setter at San Jose State from 2002-2004.
He also coaches the Homestead High School boys team. |

Blue: |
Katie Rowell (Head
Coach)
- Katie returns to the Vision 12 Blue team for the
third consecutive season. Her 2009 12 Blue team
earned a bid to the Junior Olympics in Miami. As a junior player, Katie played for
Los Gatos High School and for Vision. She played on
Vision 17 Gold which qualified for the Junior
Nationals in the 17 Open Division in 2003. She
played at the collegiate level at Foothill Community College.
Currently she is a student at San Jose State
University.Brittany Anderson (Assistant
Coach)
- Brittany currently plays at Foothill Community
College for Katy Ripp (the wife of Vision Club
Director, Joe Ripp). She is an outside hitter, and
Co-Captain of the team. She played high school
volleyball locally at Piedmont Hills, primarily as a
middle blocker. She spent much of her summer
coaching locally in a variety of volleyball camps. |
