| 18 Gold: |
Jason Mansfield (Head Coach)
- Jason is in his sixth season
as an assistant coach at Stanford University where
he has been to three Final Fours (2002, 2004, 2006)
and won a National Championship (2004). He has
coached fifteen All-Americans and two National
Players-of-the-Year.
Jason will be starting his twelfth year of coaching
club, where his teams have finished fifth or better
seven times at the Junior Olympics, winning a Gold
medal in 1997 (18 Club) and a silver medal in 2003
(18 Open). Jason has coached fourteen Junior Olympic
All-Americans.
Gwen Hubbard (Assistant Coach)
- Gwen is in her third year as an assistant with
the Vision 18 Gold team. She played her junior career at Los Altos High
School and for Coach Mansfield on the Vision 18 Gold
team in 2000. She played at the collegiate level at
Cal Poly and graduated in 2004. She is an assistant
coach for Castilleja High School which made it to
the State Division V Finals in 2005.
Ryan Cooling (Assistant Coach)
- Ryan was an assistant for the Vision 17 Gold team
in 2007. He has coached a variety of levels
including the Vision 16
Gold team which he led to a Silver Medal in the 16 Club Division
at the JO's in 2000. Ryan is currently the Head
Coach and Athletic Director at Presentation High
School. His coaching resume is lengthy and includes
collegiate experience at the University of
Texas-Arlington, and junior experience at Menlo
(Head Coach), Aptos (Head Coach), and Archbishop
Mitty (Assistant Coach). |

| 18 Blue: |
Joe
Ripp (Head Coach)
- Joe returns as the 18 Blue Head Coach after
leading the team to a Bronze Medal in the 18 Club
Division of the Junior Nationals in Minneapolis. He
has coached all age levels during the club season
and in 2005 guided the Vision 17 Gold team to the
silver medal in the 17 Open Division of the
Junior Nationals in Salt Lake City. Joe
recently retired from Los Gatos High School after
coaching there for 14 years. His high school teams
won three CCS championships, three Nor-Cal
championships and one California State Championship.
He is the founder of Vision Volleyball Club
Ron
Whitmill (Assistant Coach)
- Ron returns to Vision after coaching the 16 Blue
team last season. He has a lengthy coaching and
playing resume. He spent 7 years with City
Beach as a Head Coach and is currently the Head
Coach for the San Jose State Men's program. As a
player Ron participated in the 1989 JO's and has
been part of a team which finished first in the NCVA
AA seven times. He continues to play in professional
outdoor doubles tournaments which he has done since
1992.
Kelly Crow (Assistant Coach)
- Kelly is currently in her junior season as an
outside hitter/ds at San Jose State University. She
his a former Vision player, and earned a fifth place
finish at the Junior Nationals in 2003 with the
Vision 18 Gold team and a Silver Medal finish with
the Vision 18 Gold team in 2004. She was the 2004
Sports Focus North Coast Section Player-of-the-Year
and is in her third year of coaching club
volleyball. |

| 17 Gold: |
Will Yuen (Head Coach)
- Will is in his third season at Santa Clara
University as an assistant coach. He helped lead
Santa Clara to the NCAA Final Four in 2005. Prior to joining SCU, he spent six seasons as the head Junior Varsity coach at Archbishop Mitty.
The past two seasons he
has coached the Vision 16 Gold team which
competed at the Junior Nationals in
Atlanta, Georgia and Minneapolis. He has been involved locally in junior volleyball for
twelve seasons.
Lauryn Dowd (Assistant Coach)
- Lauryn is currently an opposite hitter for Santa
Clara University and has seen significant time in
her two seasons there. She completed her junior career as a
starter on Vision's 18 Gold team and in just four
years of club volleyball, earned a full scholarship
to Santa Clara. She played high school for Leigh and
for Vision Volleyball Club during her final three
seasons as a junior.
Emily Burke (Assistant Coach)
- Emily has been a starting setter at San Jose State
University this season. She was the setter for the
Vision 18 Gold team in 2007. She helped lead that
team to a fifth place finish at the Junior
Nationals. Her club career included six seasons with
Vision and her high school career included two trips
to the CA State Championship with Archbishop Mitty. |

Blue: |
Tait Rafat (Head Coach)
- Tait is in his second season as the Head Coach at San Jose City College
and for Vision's 17 Blue team.
Prior to San Jose City, Tait served as an Assistant
at Nevada-Reno, and most recently coached 16's for
Sierra Nevada Volleyball Club. His team moved up 50
spots from their original ranking during the league
season. Tait grew up in Alaska before going to
school at UNLV. He has both an undergraduate degree
and masters, is CAP I certified by USA Volleyball,
and is a certified volleyball conditioning
specialist. Tait now resides in the Bay Area with
his wife of six years and their two children.
Suedy
Ezzatyar (Assistant Coach)
- Suedy is in her second season coaching with Tait
on the 17 Blue team. She played for Vision for 5 years as a junior
and at Los Altos High School. At Vision she
played for Vision 15 Gold Coach Jason Dupler
and at Los Altos for Vision 18 Gold Head Coach Jason
Mansfield. She is a recent graduate of Gonzaga
University and moved back to the Bay Area to start
her post-graduate career. |

Monica
Marcuson
(Head Coach)
- Monica is entering her fifth season with Vision
Volleyball Club. All four of her previous teams
have qualified for the Junior Nationals. She is
currently the Head Coach for Notre Dame Belmont
where in 2006 her team won the CCS Division III
title for the first time in 10 years. Prior to Notre
Dame, Monica established the program at Canada
Community College. Monica played collegiate volleyball
at Notre Dame de Namur (formerly Notre Dame Belmont) for four years.
Caitlin Torres (Assistant Coach)
- Caitlin was a member of the 2006 Vision 18 Blue
team and played for Vision 15 Gold Coach Jason Dupler. She is a current member of the Notre Dame De
Namur volleyball team where she plays Opposite. As a
junior player, her Leigh High School teams were 2004
and 2005 champions of the Blossom Valley Athletic
League. |

Katie Goldhahn (Head Coach)
- Katie is an assistant at San Jose State University
and as a player was a setter for Stanford University
from 2002-2005. Her 2002 team was an NCAA finalist
and the 2004 team won the NCAA Championship. As a
junior player she competed with Delta Valley. Her
teams won the Junior Nationals her sophomore season
and the Volleyball Festival her junior season. She
spent the prior two club seasons coaching Palo Alto
16s.
Angie McKinnell (Assistant Coach)
-
Angie is in her first year with Vision, she was
previously the Varsity coach at Corvallis High
School in Corvallis, Oregon for two years, and
coached the freshman team for one season. Angie
played for Nike Northwest and High Desert Volleyball
clubs. She had been recruited to play at the
University of Washington before an injury prevented
her from pursuing her volleyball career. She has
continued her interest in sports, and is currently
works in athletic administration for San Jose State
University. |

Chris
Muscat (Head Coach)
- Chris joins Vision after coaching the Main
Beach 18 Gold team in 2007. He has coached club
volleyball for seven seasons. His teams qualified
for the Junior Nationals in each season. Prior to
his career in coaching, he was a player for UCLA's
men's team from 1997-2000. Chris is a volunteer
assistant for Stanford University and works as a
teacher at Santa Clara.
Jason Dupler
(Assistant Coach)
- Jason is in his first season as an assistant at
San Jose State University after twelve seasons
coaching at West Valley College in Saratoga and one
season at Stanford University. West Valley was one
of the top programs in Northern California during
his tenure. He has over 17 years of coaching
experience and has coached at every level with
Vision. He has been with Vision Volleyball Club
since its inception. Jenny Denton (Assistant
Coach)
- Jenny is an assistant coach at Foothill Junior
College and played for Vision in 2002. As a junior
player she helped lead Hollister High School to its
first ever CCS Championship match. She played at
West Valley College and Louisiana Tech University.
At West Valley she was All-State, 2nd Team
All-American and in 2005 was the MVP of the Coast
Conference. She is currently a student at San Jose
State University. |

Cayse Kaveny (Head
Coach)
- Cayse returns to Vision after playing and
coaching at the collegiate level in Florida. She is
currently the Head Varsity Coach for Pinewood
School. She played for Archbishop Mitty High School
and Vision as a junior player. Collegiately she
played both at the University of New Mexico and
Florida Atlantic. After ending her playing career
she began her coaching career at FAU.
Barry Ivers (Assistant
Coach)
- Barry has eight years of coaching experience
at both the junior and collegiate levels. He will
bring his knowledge from the men's game where he was
both a player and coach. He played at St Francis
High School and San Jose State University and his
coaching experience includes stints at Surf City, St
Francis, Bay to Bay, and Stanford. |

| 14 Gold: |
Bret Almazan-Cezar (Head Coach)
- Bret is in his eighth season as Head Varsity Coach for Archbishop Mitty High School. His Monarch teams have won
four state championships
and made seven appearances in the NorCal Championship match. Bret is
also in his eighth season with Vision. At the Junior Nationals, in
2006, his Vision 14 Gold team finished fifth and in 2002, his 14 Gold team won
the Silver medal. Prior to joining Vision,
in 2000, Bret led Delta Valley to a Gold Medal Championship in the
18 Open Junior National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.
Vision 16 Blue Coach Katy Goldhan was a member of
that team.Chi Chui (Assistant Coach)
- Chi is in his eleventh season as an assistant coach at Archbishop Mitty. He has coached
club volleyball for 18 seasons. He has coached teams that have achieved the highest
levels in winning state championships and Junior National medals. In 2002 he helped
guide the Vision 14 Gold team to a Silver Medal at the Junior National Championships.
In 2003 he help Archbishop Mitty High School win the Division II state championship.
This will be his sixth season as Bret's primary assistant coach. |

Jessica
Herrera (Head Coach)
- Jessica coached Vision's 13 Blue team last season
which earned a spot in the Junior Nationals in
Minnesota. She is a former collegiate player at Gonzaga
University where she played Libero from 2002-2006.
She is a graduate of Archbishop Mitty High School
where she played for Vision 14 Gold Coach Bret
Almazan-Cezar. She played club for Vision and Yahoo
and her Yahoo team won the Gold medal in 2000. She
coaches locally at Archbishop Mitty High School.

Brooke
Herald (Head Coach)
- Brooke is in her fifth season with Vision
Volleyball Club. The past two seasons she led the
the Vision 12 Gold team to the Junior Nationals in
Minneapolis and Salt Lake City. She took over as Head Coach at West
Valley Junior College after working as an assistant
for one season. As a player,
she competed for Vision throughout her high school
career, and was a defensive specialist at San Jose
State.
Danny Chan (Assistant Coach)
- Danny also returns after helping lead the Vision
12 Gold team to the Junior Nationals. He is the Head
Coach at West Valley Junior
College. His coaching experience includes positions
at Evergreen
Valley High School and Club Yahoo, where in 2006 he helped Yahoo's 17's team earn a bid to the Junior
Olympics. He earned his Kinesiology degree from San
Jose State with an emphasis in Adapted Physical
Activity. |

Kevin Corral (Head Coach)
- Kevin returns to Vision after leading the Vision13 Blue
team to a birth in the Junior Nationals. Most recently Kevin has been an assistant at Gavilan
Community
College and spent one year as an assistant at Club Yahoo. He has a 9-year history as a
player, including a career at San Jose State with
the men's team. Kevin also spent a year coaching the
men with Bay-2-Bay Volleyball Club.
Kaylie
Kortsen (Assistant Coach)
- Kaylie is a former Vision player who played
locally at San Benito High School. She helped lead
her San Benito team to their first-ever trip to the
Norcal Playoffs. She continued her career at Weber
State University for two seasons than went on to
play at Utah Valley University. She started her
coaching career helping the boy's volleyball team at
Live Oak High School in 2005. |

Cobey Shoji (Head Coach)
- Cobey returns to Vision for her fourth season
after coaching the Vision
15 Blue and 16 Blue teams. She is in her
fourth year as the Director of Volleyball Operations at Stanford
University. She played her junior career at the prestigious Punahou High
School in Hawaii and played club for the Asics
Rainbow Volleyball Club. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of
Michigan where she competed as a defensive specialist/setter.
Cobey has a masters degree from the University of
North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She has coached for
Punahou School, Rebel Volleyball Club in Las Vegas
and for Triangle Volleyball Club in North Carolina.
Stacia Fanara
(Assistant Coach)
- Stacia will be returning to Vision after coaching
the 15 Blue team in 2006. She has helped with the
Vision Futures program while caring for her new
son. She has previous coaching experience with
Peninsula Juniors and Carolina Juniors. Her time in
North Carolina followed her playing career at the
University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She was a
starting outside hitter from 1992-1996 and was the
MVP of her 1996 team. |

Rebecca Mason (Head Coach)
- Rebecca returns to Vision after helping lead the
Vision 12 Blue team last season. She played junior volleyball at Los Gatos High
School, for Vision, and for UOP. She was an Outside
Hitter and Defensive Specialist as a junior player
and played for Vision 18 Blue coach Joe Ripp and
Vision 15 Gold Coach Jason Dupler. As a junior she
was named All-SCVAL First Team and named to the
All-Mercury News Volleyball Team.Katie Rowell (Assistant
Coach)
- As a junior player, Katie played for Los Gatos
High School and for Vision. She played on Vision 17
Gold which qualified for the Junior Nationals in the
17 Open Division in 2003. She played collegiately at
Foothill Community College. Currently she is a
student at San Jose State University. |
